Stage 3 of the wonderful world-building project from the fine people of Tiny Owl Workshop opened this week. Having been delighted to have a story accepted for Stage 2, I’ll be happy to explore deeper underground in the dark corners of the Lane of Unusual Traders to conjure up my next story.
The project is currently looking for 6 flash fiction stories of less than 500 words, and 7 short stories of 3,000 words. Check the guidelines for more details. Closing date is the 28th of February 2017.
Having adopted the beautiful city of Edinburgh as my home, it seems fitting to pay homage to it through this project to create 15 geo-located stories creating fiction through the city for all to enjoy. The only problem so far is working out which slice of this great city I want to serve up to readers.
Echoes of the city is seeking 15 poems or short stories up to 1,300 words by October 16th.
The Book Smugglers blog is a wonderful place to explore the latest news and reviews for book-lovers everywhere, particularly those with a penchant for a good fantasty adventure. So what better place to publish the next great fantasty adventure?
They’re currently seeking to publish at least 3 SFF short stories up to 17,500 words on the theme ‘Gods and Monsters’. Submissions close December 31st 2016. Unless you like to miss a good party, I’d probably aim to get your submission in by the 30th.
