My charities is perhaps a bit misleading. They’re not really mine so much as ones I wish to offer my support to. It is however much easier to have a “my charities” tab on my blog than it is a “charities wot I wants to bring your attention to.” It’s also better English.
As many of you know I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in 2012. I wanted a way to link the writing that I was inspired to start at that time with my appreciation for the organisations that help out those of us with the condition.
The Cystic Fibrosis trust is an organisation which amongst other things campaigns tirelessly for sympathetic policy, offers services and raises funds to provide for research into eventually beating the condition. They are a great support and have helped make huge leaps forward in understanding and treatment of Cystic Fibrosis.
You can also help the Cystic Fibrosis Trust through your shopping habits. Give as you Live works with 2,393 leading stores that have signed up to donate a commission on every online purchase to the charity of your choice.
All you need to do is sign up and remember to login before you buy things online, no extra cost to you, extra money for a charity. You can sign up to help the CF trust here and find out more about it.
If you’ve enjoyed reading my writing, most of which is thus far available for free, and wanted to show your appreciation, then this is the best way.
I’ll also offer the opportunity for me to write a story on a topic of your choosing for anyone who donates over £150. This can be on (almost) any topic and written for you, as a gift or just for me to put up on the blog with a mention of your name if you so wish. It’s up to you what nefarious purpose you seek to use the possibility for. If you want to take advantage of this just message me once you’ve made a donation and we’ll work together from there.
Any donations are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks for your support.
